Keller
Grade:1-2
Time Frame:Class periods? 3-4 days
Number of hours? Minutes? 20-30 minutes a day
Lesson Description: (mini-lesson) In this lesson, the students create an acrostic poem using the word D-I-N-O-S-A-U-R. (This is done on a smart board in front of the class) If need be, we can look up interesting facts about dinosaurs on the smart board to use for our poem.
(Independent) The students must then choose an animal to write a creative acrostic poem about. Next, the students work with digital cameras to take pictures that will later be uploaded to a power point they will create about their poem. Once the power point is created, it will be shared with the class.
